Junior Achievement of Greater Washington Teams Up with the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation for Annual 4th & Life High School Football Forum

On Tuesday, Oct. 10, more than 200 high school football players and their respective coaches from DMV area high schools visited FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland to participate in the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation's annual 4th & Life High School Football Forum.

The 4th & Life High School Football Forum focuses on preparing high school student-athletes for life after football. Redskins players in attendance participate in a panel discussion which touches on a variety of topics, such as coping with peer pressure, staying healthy and planning for their academic and athletic futures. The panel, emceed by Redskins alumnus Rick “Doc” Walker, provides high school athletes with the unique opportunity to engage in a wide-ranging dialogue with Redskins players.

Following the panel discussion, student-athletes participate in breakout sessions by grade. These breakout sessions, moderated by leaders from the Redskins Charitable Foundation and its non-profit partners Junior Achievement of Greater Washington and the jk livin foundation, provide student-athletes with the opportunity to learn more about effective communication, teamwork and accountability. Current players also joined each breakout. Topics include:
