Get Involved with JA: Schools and Educators

You Matter

Thanks to uniquely-connected partnerships with leaders in education, Junior Achievement is the the only experiential learning program embedded in our area school systems. Since 1919, JA has worked hand-in-hand with educators to provide transformative financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship education to students. These real-world concepts heighten students’ appreciation for academics and long-term aspirations.

JA provides educators with everything they need to teach personal finance, expose students to career opportunities, and engage students who might be disengaged and struggling to understand the relevance of education to their lives. Our flexible instruction delivery methods include teacher-led and volunteer supported, volunteer-led, in-classroom, virtual simulation and out-of-classroom experiences. Our curriculum is created by trained and certified instructional experts to ensure correlation to various national, state and district standards; as well as comprehension, information retention and engagement. All resources for teaching JA curricula – including volunteers – are provided to teachers

Without our region's educators, our work to take learning beyond the classroom and show students its relevance would be impossible.

JA programming and experiences are designed to show students the connection between what they're learning in the classroom and the future. Browse programs by grade level.

If you’re an educator or school coordinator managing volunteers for your JA Finance Park event day, our volunteer portal VolunteerHub will give you the tools to make your JA experience a success.

We take the work we do seriously. We are continually improving our programs to meet the needs of a changing educational landscape and economy. Explore studies and white papers on the benefits of JA programs.
