$1.6M raised, 800 guests and four new Laureates
Yesterday, the Washington Business Hall of Fame – Greater Washington's signature lifetime achievement award in business – welcomed its 2024 class of Laureates during a gala held at The Anthem. The Washington Business Hall of Fame (Hall of Fame) recognizes the achievements of Greater Washington’s most accomplished leaders and celebrates their impact on the local economy, surrounding communities, and overall quality of life.
More than 70 high school students attended the Junior Achievement National Student Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C., sponsored by Delta.
Student teams demonstrated their business acumen, creativity and entrepreneurial thinking in a competitive environment at a national level by showcasing their companies to Members of Congress and business leaders.
From June 18-22 The JA of Greater Washington student entrepreneurs who created Pick-Me-Up rounded out their year by competiting for the JA Company of the Year at the JA National Student Leadership Summit (NSLS), right here in Washington, D.C.

SILVER SPRING, Md. — Woodlin Elementary School is home of the Woodlin Wizards, and on Friday, the kids got a chance to become financial wizards. Volunteers with Junior Achievement, the nonprofit that focuses on entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy, joined students for a daylong crash course in money management.

When asked what advice she has for the next generation, Tiffany Ferriss offered this piece of guidance.
“Being someone else will do a disservice to the amazing person you were destined to be,” she said. And it is clear that Tiffany herself has taken this advice to heart. A natural socialite and leader, Tiffany exudes an air of confidence, openness, and positivity when she walks into the room.
